The first week of the NBA is upon us. The Celtics are still the top dogs in the East and the West will bring their best to challenge them. With some big changes in the off-season, the 2024-25 season will be very interesting to watch, especially with the interesting result of pre-season. Here’s our Week 1 Parlay and analysis.

Boston Celtics Moneyline (VS New York Knicks)

The Boston Celtics are an easy bet in Week 1. With limited changes to their extremely strong roster, and coming off the back of a Championship winning season, they should have an easy time against the New York Knicks.

The New York Knicks are a team that has seen some serious changes to their starting 5 lineup. With the addition of Karl Anthony-Towns at Centre, they could really challenge the Celtics later in the season. However, for now they still have some work to do to get to that point. Jalen Brunson has continued to show his talents and will be a key role players for the Knicks this season. Their matchup with the Celtics is heavily reliant on his performance and how he connects with their new Centre.

The Celtics are currently -200 to beat the Knicks.

Indiana Pacers Moneyline (VS Detroit Pistons)

Haliburton and the Pacers had a great run in Playoffs last season. As the underdogs, they made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals and unfortunately lost to the Celtics. With this confidence, they will be trying to reach the Playoffs once again.

The Pacers only had a 2-2 record in preseason with the Pistons reaching a record of 3-2. However, the pressure is on as the season starts, and the Pistons may not be prepared for that pressure compared to the Pacers.

All eyes will be on Haliburton to perform and keep the Pacers going, especially through the 3rd and 4th quarters.

The Pacers are currently -225 to beat the Pistons.

Miami Heat Moneyline (VS Orlando Magic)

The Heat showed great potential last year and are another team that lost out to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. With a great preseason run ending 4-1 on a 4 win streak, we hope they can continue this dominant display as we head into week 1. When we compare this to the Magic, they only won 1 game in the preseason with their main man Paolo Banchero carry for the majority of the games.

The Heat should have an easy time against the Magic, as long as they don’t underestimate their opponents.

The Heat are currently -136 to beat the Magic.

Golden State Warriors Moneyline (VS Portland Trail Blazers)

The Warriors were the only team to go undefeated in preseason, winning 6 games in a row. Although this team was expected to struggle, they have clearly put in work in the offseason to continue developing a team that focuses on their star player, Steph Curry.

The Trailblazers unexpectedly also had a great preseason, finishing with a record of 3-1. Key players such as Donovan Clingan will be crucial to the team’s success this season, however, they still don’t stand a chance against one of the best, if not THE BEST, team in the League.

The Warriors are currently -235 to beat the Blazers.

Denver Nuggets Moneyline (VS OKC Thunder)

The Nuggets ended their 2024 Playoff run in a Game 7 against the Timberwolves. With this dramatic end, we were expecting the 2023 Champions to come out the gate swinging, however, that has not been the case.

The Nuggets only reached a 1-4 record in preseason which is the 2nd worst in the West and 3rd worst overall. The Thunder however, have had quite the opposite preseason, winning 4 out of 5 games. For this reason, we may see an absolutely dominant OKC side take on the Nuggets.

The Thunder are currently +112 to beat the Nuggets.

Parlay Picks

The first 4 legs of this Parlay are all negative, meaning they should be a clean sweep and an easy pick. However, the Nuggets v Thunder matchup will be extremely interesting and will be the one to watch. The bookies currently have the match in favour of the Nuggets, but we believe the underdog OKC side will show up and get the win.

At +1040 just a $10 will win you $103.63. If you’re feeling slightly less risky, you can take off the final leg of this parlay and still be on +435 which is another great pick, giving you a payout of $43.60.
