Sky Bet Acca Freeze Guide

There’s a new acca feature in town, and it might just be the best addition to your betting tools and how to get your winnings up with your accumulators.

Welcome to Sky Bet’s Acca Freeze!

What is the Sky Bet Acca Freeze?

The Sky Bet Acca Freeze is a feature that came out not too long ago, and it’s absolutely brilliant. The way it works is simple: you get to freeze one of your winning selections once your team is in the lead and have that be the final result of that selection, regardless of the final outcome at the end of the game.

You can take out the ‘Fergie time’ goals, worry less about VAR, and super subs with one of your selections with this excellent feature. You will need to be tactical with this, as you could see an underdog take the lead early on and fancy an upset, and freeze that selection. You can see below how to get the most out of the Sky Bet Acca Freeze with BettingTools.

How Can I Use the Sky Bet Acca Freeze?

Using the Sky Bet acca freeze is simple. All you need to do is create an accumulator, with the only catch being that your acca must have at least five selections, with at least one selection being an outright winner. Better yet, this can be on any given day, across multiple days.

Just please note, it’s important that you have at least one team set to win on your accumulator, otherwise you won’t qualify for the acca freeze. The other 4+ selections can be a draw, if you please.

Does the Sky Bet Acca Freeze Cut my Winnings?

This is the beauty of the acca freeze; freezing one winning selection does not cut out any winnings from your accumulator. If one team is winning and you freeze, whatever the final winnings would have been, you will still get your initially set amount.

Whether you’ve got a big 50/1 acca on the go, or a safe 3/1 – don’t worry about any winnings being removed from your Sky Bet acca, like would be the case with a void selection.

How do I Build an Acca With Sky Bet?

If you know how to build a Sky Bet acca, all you need to do is that, just make sure there are at least five outright selections, with at least one being a winner. Feel free to use a draw outcome for the other 4+.

To build an acca, head to Sky Bet on your app or web browser. Head to ‘Football’, click on ‘Accumulators’, then ‘All Matches By Day’. Then is the easy part where you go ahead and click on the market you want, as either a winner or a draw.

Once five selections have been made with at least one match winner, your accumulator will show up in your ‘My Bets’ section. You then need to deposit cash if you haven’t already, and enter the amount you want to bet with. Place the bet and watch it unfold. However, make sure you’re keeping an eye on the games, so you’re ready to freeze!

Remember, this accumulator can run across multiple days, so if you’re backing a winner on another day, feel free to add that in too.

Finally, there will be a blue tick you can click to freeze a selection on your ‘My Bets’ section of Sky Bet.

Can I Cash Out Once I Freeze a Selection?

This is where the Sky Bet Acca Freeze gets even better, because you can still freeze a winning selection and have the cash out option available (free bets excluded). The cash out will still be the same before you go ahead and freeze too, just like how your winnings stay the same.

What Sports Can I Use an Acca Freeze On?

As of now, the only sport you can bet on and use the Sky Bet Acca Freeze is football, and at least 5+ selections must be in your acca with at least one selection chosen as a winner.

Is There a Maximum and Minimum Stake for the Sky Bet Acca Freeze?

Thankfully, there is a low minimum stake to qualify for the Sky Bet Acca Freeze, but do remember that Sky Bet doesn’t allow for bets on any market whatsoever below 5p. On the other hand, you cannot qualify for the Sky Bet Acca Freeze for accumulators more than £20, so keep that in mind.

Can I Use the 2UP Market on an Acca That Has a Frozen Selection?

The 2UP feature for football bets is another fairly new addition that bookmakers are using. This works where if a team goes 2-0 up in a match, you can then have that selection chosen as a winner.

However, this sadly does not work in tandem with the Acca Freeze. Once you have frozen out of one winning selection, you will not be able to see any of your other selections win once a team goes 2-0 up.

Does the Sky Bet Acca Freeze Help Qualify for the Sky Bet Club?

The Sky Bet Club is where you bet £30 in a week and get a reward that is subject to specific terms.

Thankfully, if you use the Acca Freeze, you still have that amount initially wagered qualify towards the Sky Bet Club reward to claim the free bet offers.

Can I Use a Free Bet on the Sky Bet Acca Freeze?

Absolutely. You can still freeze a winning selection if you’re using a free bet on your 5+ acca, but do take into account that free bets do not allow you to cash out.

How Can I Utilise the Sky Bet Acca Freeze?

The best way to think about how best to freeze a current winning selection is to think about if you’re confident in them winning at the final whistle.

For example, if one leg of your acca is winning but they are an underdog, perhaps think about freezing that selection. Also, maybe a team is known for scoring late on and your winning selection seems to be under the cosh.

Furthermore, if a team has had a player sent but is winning, their chances of winning at the final whistle have most likely gone down. Finally, perhaps the game is a close one to call, with both teams, for example, 11/8 to win beforehand. Should your selection in this situation go 1-0 up, this could be a time to freeze.

Do Any Other Bookies Offer an Acca Freeze?

As it stands, only Sky Bet offers an Acca Freeze feature, which is unique to the bookie. All you need is an account with them, make 5+ selections on your accumulator, and get ready to freeze one of those when one of your teams is winning. Just remember that this only applies to football matches, and you must have one selection be an outright winner.
