Man United will take on Tottenham on Wednesday night in the Europa League final, and we think that match will almost certainly impact what will happen on Sunday. It has been a torrid season for Ruben Amorim, who has failed to make any kind of lasting impression in the 6 months he has had in charge. Regardless of whether United can win the Europa League or not, they must put on a good show for this final match of the season, and bring a little hope back to Old Trafford.
Aston Villa are 5th in the league at the moment (City has not played Bournemouth yet at the time of writing), and if they have any chance of getting a Champions League place next season, they will need to beat United. United has not kept a cleansheet in their last 6 Premier League matches, so we aren’t worried about Aston Villa scoring here or not. The big question is whether United can muster up a goal, and given the home advantage, we think they may just be able to notch a goal here.

Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea

A lot is riding on this match both for Forest and Chelsea. Right now, Chelsea are 4th in the league, but they are level on points with Newcastle (3rd), and Aston Villa (5th). And Forest are 7th, with 65 points, a solitary point off all those teams. If Forst can beat Chelsea at home, they should be able to get Champions League football. But a loss would confine them to Conference League football.
All of Forest’s last 3 matches have featured both teams scoring, whereas only 1 of Chelsea’s last three have had BTTS. It will be a highly intriguing match to follow, and given Forest’s home advantage and that Chelsea will play Real Betis in the Conference League three days later, Forest will fancy their chances of making an upset here.

Tottenham vs Brighton

Tottenham will also be running on tired legs on Sunday, and they are in a much worse situation than United is injury-wise. It has been quite a dismal season for Ange Postecoglou, but if Spurs win the Europa League then all might be forgiven. Whatever the case, though, they too will look to end the EPL on a high and Brighton will definitely give them a good match.
Beating Liverpool 3-2 after coming back from 1-2, Brighton is now 4 matches undefeated. They beat Tottenham at home, and now have an opportunity to beat another “top table” (because Spurs should be just that) team at the end of the season. The odds are quite short, and considering that their last 4 H2H matches all had BTTS, they are quite fairly priced.

What Does BTTS Mean in Betting?
Both teams to score betting, which is often just referred to as BTTS by both bookies and bettors, is one of the most straightforward types of football bets. It is not complicated, it is all about whether you think both teams playing in a match will score at least one goal in the entire 90 minutes.
The beauty of BTTS betting is in its simplicity. There is no looking at how many goals you think there will be, whether you feel there will be over 2.5 goals or even the exact scoreline. If you can’t see both teams scoring, you can decide that you won’t go for it and the odds won’t change that much as they will never deviate much from the evens mark.
There is also no waiting around until the final outcome to see if your bet has won if both the teams playing have already scored. If they have, you can celebrate a job well done. Types of Both Teams to Score Bets
A BTTS bet can extend to different forms, and each has unique rewards and opportunities. Let’s have a look at some of these different types of BTTS bets:
Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
This is the simple, straightforward option where bettors predict both teams will notch at least one goal during a match. It is a yes or no bet and it is as simple as it sounds.
Both Teams to Score in Both Halves
This type requires both of the sides to score in each half of the game. This is more difficult to predict than the basic one, but the rewards are higher due to the increased odds.
Both Teams to Score and Win
A type of variant where you are required to not only correctly predict if both teams till score but you must also select the winner of the match. Again, like the scoring in both halves bet, the potential rewards are higher due to the increased difficulty.
Both Teams to Score and Over/Under
This combined a BTTS bet with over/unders betting. You will need to decided whether you think both teams will score and then if the final amount of goals will be over or under a specific number that has been set before the game begins.
Examples of BTTS Betting
Let’s look at an example and say we are betting on a game between Chelsea and Liverpool. You have read through your free betting tips articles and looked at the score tip, and decided that both teams are going to score at least one goal in this match.
If one side claims a 2-1 victory, you have won, or if the draw ends in a 1-1 stalemate your bet is also successful. Both teams have scored and that BTTS tip you had has come up trumps. However, if the game is a 0-0 bore draw, not only have you just wasted 90 minutes of your time, neither team has scored, so the ‘Yes’ both teams will score bet loses.
BTTS Betting Strategies
If you are a true football fan, the path to success in BTTS betting should be an enjoyable one. We all know there is no such thing as a perfect betting strategy, but there are a lot of things you can look at to out the odds in your favour. It is all about looking at the forms and style of how teams play, their recent form, the manager’s philosophy etc. Basically doing some homework on past football games. Here are some important things to consider:
- Recent Form: All recent and historical stats should be looked at. For example, looking at Liverpool and Man City, they both tend to score tonnes of goals so it is unlikely a game between the two ends 0-0. This would be a good match to look at for a BTTS bet.
- Study the Teams: A team’s attacking prowess is crucial for BTTS betting. Look at who the better attackers are, Erling Haaland, Darwin Nunez, Ollie Watkins etc. Are they in form, does the manager encourage attacking play. All of these points play a role.
- Head-to-Head Records: It is often said no two games are the same but there is such a thing as ‘bogey’ teams where a club just doesn’t perform against another for whatever reason. Also, if Chelsea are playing Man Utd and their five past matches have been both teams scoring, it’s a good BTTS bet.
Pros and Cons of BTTS
BTTS bets are one of the most popular bets in any sport and it is easy to see why, as it is an uncomplicated type of wager that opens up numerous possibilities for the bettor.
The fact there are different types of both teams to score bets means there is a lot of choice for players, allowing to almost customise the bet to their favour, specifically to the match that they want.
