FanDuel Picks is the “easiest way to play sports,” according to the North American sports betting and daily fantasy sports (DFS) giant. It’s a new way of playing fantasy sports that lets you join the excitement of peer-to-peer fantasy sports by building lineups of your favourite athletes across a variety of sports.
The aim is simple: predict whether or not your chosen athletes will beat or get less than the projected stats during the real-world games. For example, will Patrick Mahomes make more than 250 yards? It’s your aim to then predict whether he will get more than this projection, or whether or not he will get less. The app and game works very similar to the popular DraftKings Pick6 promo.
How Does FanDuel Picks Work?
The format and how to play FanDuel picks is very simple and similar to that of the DFS platform from FanDuel.
However, FanDuel Picks is all about beating other people in the prize pool by predicting a lineup where you expect players to beat or get less than their projected stats for that game, in contrast to DFS, where you earn points based on performance alone.
To get going once you’re signed up, you will need to pick a lineup between 3-6 players, but as you would expect, the more players you pick within your six options, the higher your score will be. If you pick three players, your chances of getting a decent amount of points will be significantly reduced.
After your 3-6 players have been picked, you will earn points based on a correct prediction of whether or not a player has scored less in their predicted stats or beat them – the latter is also your choice.

How to Play FanDuel Picks?
FanDuel Picks is easy to play.
Firstly, head to the FanDuel Picks app and go ahead and pick the sport you want to enter with your picks lineup. After this, you simply have to pick five athletes and see their predicted stats for the upcoming game they are set to play in. Thereafter, it’s up to you to pick ‘more’ or ‘less’, in terms of whether or not you think they will achieve more or less than their predicted lineup. You have between 3-6 players to choose from, but the more players you pick, the higher your cash prize will be, should you win.
Then, all you have to do is submit your picks.
What if a Game is Canceled or Postponed?
If an event is canceled or postponed and rescheduled to start at 6:00 AM ET on that day after the original start day, your lineup will go ahead and be scored as either a win or a loss. If the canceled or postponed game is rescheduled to start after 6:00 AM ET of the day following the original start date, your picks will be scored as a loss.
The games that are canceled or postponed are determined by the stats provider of FanDuel. Furthermore, if a game is suspended, all stats generated prior to that point will be the final outcome of that pick.
Where is FanDuel Picks Available?
Across the services of FanDuel’s online sportsbook and their retail stores, FanDuel services are available in a total of 40 of the 50 states. On the other hand, FanDuel Picks is only available in five states (as of August 2026). So, what states is FanDuel in for FanDuel Picks? See below:

How Big Can You Win With FanDuel Picks?
One of the best features about this new game is the amount of cash you can bring in from beating your peers. The amount you will win will depend entirely on how many players are playing, as you are entered into a prize pool.
Moreover, you will earn more depending on how good your lineup is and how well they have exceeded their predicted stats. Get a perfect lineup, and you could be in for some serious cash. In fact, FanDuel states that you will win 20x more if you have more than six players compared to just three.
Ultimately, every $1 you enter adds your pick set to a new contest. For example, $10 will equal 10 entries, in contrast to where you will need to enter select contests for DFS.
To put this in perspective, if 10 entries out of the 120 correctly predict five out of six player stat lines, the $1,000 prize is split among the top scorers, and each winner receives $100 in winnings. If you hit all your picks perfectly, you’re guaranteed a multiplier.
Better yet, if the contest payout is lower than the prize that is guaranteed, the difference is made up by FanDuel.
Where Can I Play FanDuel Picks?
FanDuel Picks is available on FanDuel’s excellent app on both iOS and Android devices. You can also get these games on their desktop version or their mobile app. The app is also completely free to download, and is separate from the FanDuel Sportsbook app and the FanDuel Fantasy Sports app.

Please also note, to play FanDuel Picks, you will need to get a FanDuel account first.
Does it cost to play FanDuel Picks?
As FanDuel Picks has a prize pool, it is not free to play, and you will need to enter an amount you want to enter into the week’s action. Each prize pool will be different for each of the sports on offer, but naturally, entering a little amount will get you a lower share of the prize pool, and a bigger entry will get you more of the prize pool. Ultimately, the rule of thumb here is that each $1 gets you into a different contest.
