How to Bet on the Power Slap League
Power Slap can be beyond exciting. However, there is no knockout thrilling enough to cover the flaws of a mediocre online sportsbook. Because of that, the first step should be creating an account with a licensed online sportsbook that offers odds for this sport.
Due to the limited state availability, many bettors bet on Power Slap events at offshore sportsbooks. Although these sportsbooks can offer decent odds and nearly all the necessary features, we strongly advise you to stick with legal and licensed online sportsbooks operating with licenses issued by US government bodies. What is Power Slap Fighting?
Slap fighting is one of the fastest growing combat sports in the world. Two fighters stand face-to-face and take turns to deliver an open-hand slap to their opponent’s cheeks. It is very simple but also very intense. The scoring is similar to boxing in that you are trying to KO your rival or score highly on the judge’s scorecards. However, unlike boxing, there is no finesse or good footwork and defensive movements required. You stand there and take your punishment.
Dana White has taken this principle and created a monster in the Power Slap League, and now there are lots of ways we can get on this exciting competition.
Power Slap Betting Types
The pool of bets you can choose for Power Slap is not as deep as the ones for other sports. There are two main betting types, and while both are simple and easy to understand, a little breakdown might still come in handy.
The first and main one is known as the Overall Winner Bet. As the name suggests, by placing this bet, you are betting on which fighter will be the overall winner of the entire Power Slap event.
The other main bet, known as the Matchup Bet, is essentially a Moneyline bet on which fighter will win a particular head-to-head matchup. It is another outright winner type best.
As in any other sport, the favorite will be represented by a negative odds number while the underdog is given a positive odds number. The lower the number, the greater the favorite.
Other bet types include Prop Bets. This is where things get spicy. Just like in any other sport, by placing a Prop Bet, you are betting on different aspects of the competition that are not necessarily tied to the final result.
Using Prop Bets, you can bet on the method of victory, which fighter will score the most potent TKO, how many rounds the bout will last, or try to predict if a fighter will deliver a knockout.
How do Power Slap Betting Odds Work?
There are two types of bets players can place on a betting site for the Power Slap League. The first, and most straightforward, is moneyline, which is simply a bettor predicting who will win outright. The favorite for the fight will be shown with a – sign next to them while the underdog will have a + sign next to them.
The other type of bet is the matchup bet, which is exactly the same as the moneyline, except bettors predict who they think will win each round instead of the overall fight.
When and How to Bet on the Power Slap League
To bet on the Power Slap League, you must first sign up for an account at an online sportsbook, social sportsbook, or a DFS betting platform. Whether you go for the traditional option or the DFS path, creating an account is a straightforward process that will not take more than a few minutes.
All you have to do is create your unique username and password, fill out the required fields with your personal information, and confirm your identity. Power Slap League Betting Strategy
As always when you bet, you need to be aware of the risks involved. However, some of those risks can be mitigated with a sound betting strategy. When betting on Power Slap, there are some different strategies you can employ to boost your chances of making some money.
First, you should always do some research on each fighter before a match to see their performance history, taking a detailed look at their strengths and weaknesses to determine who is likely to come out on top.
Waiting to find out who wins the coin toss and then holds the advantage of having the first slap is also important, as the first slap could have a big impact on the opponent or even end the contest before it gets going.
When you are taking a look at each fighter, you should also check out a fighter’s body weight and their style. Bigger fighters could land heavier slaps and are also likely to be more durable. This could sway your decision when choosing on who you are picking as your winner.
Power Slap League Live Streaming & Betting
In 2023, live betting on PSL was unavailable because the first season of the Power Slap League featured eight one-hour pre-taped episodes – a format previously embraced by Dana White for the iconic TUF show.
The PSL currently offers two types of content. The first is Power Slap: Road To The Title Season 3, a show featuring pre-taped episodes that air every Wednesday at 9 p.m. (ET) on the official Power Slap League channel on Rumble.

The other content that gets us, the bettors, far more excited is the Power Slap live events. These events are streamed live and free worldwide on Rumble on scheduled dates.
You can watch Rumble for free on just about any device. All you have to do is visit the official Rumble.com website or download the official app. And if you want to watch the most vicious slaps from the last season or highlights from any previous events, you can check out Power Slap on TikTok or YouTube.
About the Power Slap League
Ever since social media took off, the attention span of the average viewer has significantly decreased. On the other hand, the demand for fast-paced, thrilling content has absolutely skyrocketed. Uncle Dana and his team recognized this shift as a golden opportunity to launch The Power Slap League. Over the last few years, viewership numbers have increased, as has the popularity of individual fighters and their profiles. The names are getting bigger, but the power slap salary is still very small in comparison to UFC fighters, who can make a fortune in one night’s fight.
History
Dana White’s Power Slap made its first waves with the reality show Power Slap: Road to the Title, which initially aired on TBS in the US and on Rumble for international viewers. The first episode aired in January 2023, and shortly after, the promotion hosted its first live event, Power Slap 1: Darius the Destroyer vs. Wolverine.
Since then, PSL has hosted eight live events, most of which took place at the famous UFC Apex, which played an instrumental role in the rise of MMA during the pandemic.
Rules
The Power Slap League has men and women divisions and follows the same weight classes and rules outlined in the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts.
Each Power Slap League match consists of two unarmed strikers who are at least 18 years old. Before every match, a coin toss determines who will strike first. Fights consist of three or five rounds, where each fighter delivers an open-hand slap to the face of the opponent.
Both fighters must stand in their designated zone, with the defender required to keep their shoulders square, chin up, and hands behind their back. Once ready and in the correct position, the striker can deliver the slap to their opponent. For the slap to be considered legal, it must land below the eye but above the chin.
Illegal moves like leading with your palm, faulty wind-up, flinching, or tucking your chin will land you a penalty like a point deduction or a disqualification.
Strikers can win through KO, TKO, or points. The scoring is based on the well-known 10-point must system used in MMA and boxing. The judges base their scores on slap damage, effectiveness, defender reaction, and recovery.
Rankings
Although the sport is still far from having a roster full of big-name strikers, a few have still managed to stand out from the pack and clinch championship titles. Here are the reigning champs of each Power Slap division:
- Super Heavyweight – Koa Viernes
- Heavyweight – Damien Dibbel
- Light Heavyweight – Ron Bata
- Middleweight – John Davis
- Welterweight – Anthony Blackburn

Schedule
Unfortunately, at the moment, there aren’t any scheduled live Power Slap events. However, to keep yourself busy until there is one, you can watch Road to the Title every Wednesday on Rumble for free or check out the highlights from the last Power Slap event, which took place on June 28 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas and featured the Power Slap debut of the former UFC star Paige VanZant.

The Future of Power Slap Betting
Although still in its infancy, the sport has already been hit by a tidal wave of criticism from various doctors concerned about potential health risks. One thing we can be sure of, though, is Dana White’s knack for handling criticism and overcoming obstacles.
The PSL hasn’t been around for long. Yet, the numbers clearly show that the sport is already resonating with massive audiences thanks to its fast-paced action and our never-ending appetite for watching regulated violence.
While the fast-paced nature of the sport and the advantage that comes with the coin toss will surely give sportsbook operators headaches, we, as bettors, can only be enthusiastic about all the exciting betting opportunities that will come from it.
