We take a break from Premier League action this weekend as the FA cup fourth round takes centre stage. There weren’t a lot of shocks to speak about in the third round, such is modern football really. The gap between the have’s and the have not’s has never been bigger.

Still, the likes of Plymouth and Leyton Orient will be hoping they can have their day in the sun this weekend.

Where will the shocks be this weekend and where is the value betting? Let’s take a look.

Saturday, February 8th

Leeds vs  Milwall FC Logo Millwall

Details: 12.30 pm kick off, Elland Road

This is a tasty looking fixture between two Championship sides to kick things off on Saturday in the early kick off. Leeds, of course, are steeped in history and won this competition in 1972. Although the main aim of Daniel Farke and his team will be promotion back to the Premier League this season, they would dearly love a deep run in the FA Cup, as well. They are going well in the Championship, currently top of the league and have been very impressive at home so far this season.

Millwall reached the FA Cup final in 2004, losing to Manchester Utd and a certain Cristiano Ronaldo. The side are mid table in the Championship, and won’t be going up or down, so this is a great chance for them to fight for something and keep their season alive. Expect a large away following and plenty of noise from the travelling support on Saturday, which should make this an intense encounter.

A lot will depend on the strength of team Leeds put out, but I’m going for a home win.

Details: 3.00 pm kick off, bet365 Stadium

It has been another tumultuous season for Stoke, which seems par for the course for the Potters these days. They have already sacked two managers this season and the latest man to take on the job is Mark Robins, who did such fabulous work at Coventry. Stoke did reach the 2011 final, losing to Manchester City and although another final feels unlikely anytime soon, this is the FA Cup. Progressing in this cup and giving the Stoke fans some happiness will endear Robins to the Potters faithful instantly.

Not many may know that Cardiff have won the FA Cup, winning the 1927 final 1-0 against Arsenal. Times have changed since then and the Bluebirds are currently fighting to ensure they remain a Championship club next season, so this competition may play second fiddle to their league campaign.

I think Robins will start to turn Stoke around, beginning with a cup win here.

Blackburn Rovers FC Logo Blackburn vs  Wolverhampton Wanderers Wolves

Details: 12.30 pm kick off, Ewood Park

Blackburn have, of course, won the Premiership in their time, back in the days of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton, the ‘SAS’ partnership. Things look a little different for Rovers these days, they dropped all the way down to league 1 not long ago and are now battling to get back to the big time. This is a great chance to go up against a current PL team and see where they stand.

While Blackburn are trying to get back to the Premier League, Wolves are hoping to stay there. They done themselves the world of good with a 2-0 win over Villa last week, a much needed three points for Vitor Pereira’s men. It is hard to guess what they will be thinking, whether they go full pelt in the cup or just concentrate on the league. It feels like this is a great chance to have a proper run, and winning games breeds confidence surely.

I think Wolves will get the job done, but it will be a tricky game for them.

It is so hard for the underdogs these days. Due to TV deals, the gap between football league clubs and Premier League clubs is huge. Still, anything can happen on the day and you just never know. I have gone for two home wins in two all championship games with Wolves to win on the road in Lancashire.
