NFL Week 11 Parlay Picks, Betting Insights & Predictions

The Kansas City Chiefs somehow escaped from week 1o still unbeaten, blocking a field goal with seconds to spare, while the Detroit Lions won on the road despite Jared Goff five interceptions.

It kind of feels like the Chiefs and the Lions are on a collision course for a big game in February at this point, but there are plenty of other teams that will have a say in that. Let’s look at some week 11 action.

Sunday, November 17

Green Bay Packers @  Chicago Bears logo Chicago Bears

It was an absolutely shocking week for the Bears last week, one that may have repercussions for the coaching staff. A humbling, troubling and shocking 19-3 defeat at home to the Patriots has left Bears fans calling for the head of coach Matt Eberflus. The big worry with this team going into the season was the quality of the coaching staff, and nothing that has happened so far this season as dampened those fears. The Bears have talent on the roster, but at 4-5, they are not showing it. If things carry on like this, a coaching change feels inevitable.

The Packers are fresh of a bye and I think could put the final nail in the Matt Eberflus coaching coffin.

Minnesota-Vikings Minnesota Vikings @  Tennessee Titans logo Tennessee Titans

It is safe to say the Vikings played one of their worst games of the season so far last week, barely overcoming a Jaguars team that was missing starting QB Trevor Lawrence. In the 12-7 victory, Sam Darnold struggled, throwing three interceptions and looking uncomfortable all afternoon. Minnesota didn’t score a touchdown in the game and had kicker John Parker Romo to thank as the only points they scored were field goals. It was good to see tight end T.J Hockenson back playing and picking up 72 yards, but they will need to be much better than this to make a deep playoff run.

The Titans at least showed some spark on offense last week, with Will Levis throwing for 175 yards and two TDs while Calvin Ridley came alive with 84 yards and two TDs. The Titans still can’t get a ground game going, though, which would help take some of the pressure off Levis. It feels like Tennessee are still searching for an identity as a team, and the next draft will be crucial as they look to rebuild.

This could be closer than some people think, but I think the Vikings play better and get a win on the road.

Jacksonville-Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars @  Detroit Lions logo Detroit Lions

The Jags were always going to be up against it against the Vikings with QB Trevor Lawrence out injured, but they came close to pulling off the upset. Mac Jones struggled in relief of Lawrence, throwing two interceptions, but the defense was great all day, apart from a costly roughing the passer penalty on Travon Walker late on which gave the Vikings a new set of downs where they could just kneel to burn out the clock. It hasn’t been the season many envisaged in Florida, and we await to see how long Lawrence will be out for.

The Lions were far from their barnstorming best at the Texans last week, but as great teams do, they got through it with a win. After being so efficient all season so far, Jared Goff threw five interceptions (although one was a Hail Mary) and they struggled on offense all afternoon, with the Texans doing a great job of stopping their ground game. Despite all of that, they managed to fight back from a 23-13 deficit at half-time to win it thanks to a Jake Bates walk off field goal.

I think the Lions will bare their teeth in this one, I would take the over as well.

Los-Angeles-Rams L.A Rams @  New England Patriots logo New England Patriots

The Patriots defense was outstanding last week, keeping Caleb Williams and co quiet all afternoon as they restricted the Bears to just three points on the road. On the other side of the ball, Drake Maye continued to show flashes of what he could become in the future, throwing for 184 yards with a TD and an interception thrown in. This year is all about rebuilding for the Pats and seeing Maye develop, on that front, last week was one of the best games of the season for the team.

It was a big Surprise on Monday Night Football, the Rams came up short against the Dolphins. Matthew Stafford never looked comfortable all night, as the Dolphins defense go to him on multiple occasions. Despite some typically excellent catches by Puka Nucua and Cooper Kupp, there was no consistency as L.A had to settle for field goals rather than punching it in. This team has recovered from a shocking start and this feels like a bump in the road rather than anything major right now.

I think the Rams will put Monday night right this weekend.

Atlanta Falcons @  denver broncos logo Denver Broncos

It is really hard to work out the Atlanta Falcons. One week they look like a team that could make serious inroads into the playoffs this year, the other they look like they could be picking in the top five of the draft. They suffered another poor defeat last week, going down 20-17 to a Saints Team with an interim head coach. The one bright spot on the day was running back Bijan Robinson, who recorded 116 yards and two TDs, but Kirk Cousins had a poor day through the air and they ended up losing a game they really should have won.

It was a gut-wrenching defeat for the Broncos in Kansas City. The defense swarmed all over Patrick Mahomes, largely restricting the home side to field goals. The game was right there for them when they had a very manageable field goal with seconds left on the clock, down 16-14 with a chance of a walk-off win. Amazingly, the field goal was blocked, the Chiefs remained unbeaten and Denver were left to wonder what if. The good things the Broncos did in this game shouldn’t be forgotten, but the ending of that game will leaver a bitter taste in the mouth all week.

I think the Broncos win this at home.

The Falcons and Bears cost me last week, and their reward is me backing their opponents for this weekend! The odds suggest the Bronco vs Falcons game will be close, but I am going with Denver, especially if they can show the same grit on defense they showed in Kansas City last week. The Vikings have just slowed a little recently, but I still think they should have enough for the Titans.
